SUMMER GOALS
YO WHAT
IS UP, MY PRANKSTER GANGSTERS!
NO DON'T LEAVE! I swear, I'm not Pink Sheep or any of those Minecraft Youtubers my baby brother likes to watch. I'm just putting that out to tease him. Hahahaha!
according to Google, this is a 'prankster gangster' |
Anyways, enough of 'prankster gangsters' and oddly-colored sheep. Since it's already the second week of summer here in the Philippines, I think it's about high time I posted a summer goals checklist.
Nope. Not a "bucket list" because, for me, a bucket list just sounds like a wish list. No, I actually want to accomplish all of these things by the end of summer.
I will try to stay realistic though, but that doesn't mean I am not going to set the bar high.
Why am I doing this? Simple. Nothing bums me more than realizing every end of summer that I did nothing productive, just eat and go on Facebook and sleep. That has been happening for quite some time now, and I really want procrastination to dieeeeee!
@procrastination HAHAHAHAHA |
So, yeah. I want to actually do things this summer, and not laze around like I usually do. Hahaha! Alright, without further ado, here is:
1) TO ACTUALLY MAKE SOME PROGRESS WITH MY LANGUAGES
And choose one to focus on. I've got German, Japanese, and Spanish on my belt. I guess I'll have to focus on Spanish, since apparently, we will have Spanish classes for Grade 11 (which I am sooooo excited about!). I'm still going to keep up with my Japanese and German, though, because I really want to watch anime without subtitles, aaaaaaaand I want to have conversations in German with my best friend once she comes back to the Philippines (SHOUTOUT TO RAY, HIIIIIIII!)
Also, I will post occasionally about my progress in language learning!
2) DRAW AND PAINT AT LEAST TWENTY-FIVE PICTURES
(and share all of them)
I know I already posted this, but I just looooove Judy Garland! |
Twenty-five is manageable. I actually bought, like, a lot of watercolor pads and drawing books, but sad to say, I think I'll be keeping myself busy with a lot more activities this summer. My artist bunny isn't the only one getting treated!
And, of course, I'll have to let y'all see them.
3) READ AT LEAST SIX BOOKS
(and post a book review for each of them)
4) DO SOME REVIEWING AND ADVANCED STUDYING
Hold up, whaaaaaat?
Okay, this little thing is actually part of a s e c r e t project of mine, due to be unveiled this May! So, stay tuned, because this is something I'm really, really excited for.
5) FROLICK SOME MORE
Anyone who knows me personally would know how many times I go out every summer. Now, I want to go around, take more pictures, and spend more time with my friends! I have already extended invitations to some of my friends to go "frolicking" with me, and I really hope it will all push through.
Y E S, I'M TOTALLY REFERRING TO MY TEACHER FRIEND, MY BLUE-LOVING FRIEND, MY BB ART BUDDY, AND MY BEST FRIEND WHO GOT EATEN BY THE WATER IRRIGATION SYSTEM.
You know who you guys are!
6) IMPROVE MY INSTAGRAM FEED
I don't post much, so I guess I'll have to work on that.
Follow me on Insta: mayjunejuli_
7) WRITE AT LEAST HALF OF A STORY
It's another secret project of mine!
I mean, I have always, always loved writing stories, and it has further been enhanced by creative schoolwork, and four years of Play Festival in Assumption. Now, I just want to write one, without any academic strings tied to it.
8) TAKE CARE OF MYSELF BETTER
I rather like this picture of myself. Thanks, Rik! |
Because, well, why shouldn't this be in my list? I won't say every single detail, but I just really want to make sure I stay happy, healthy, glowing, safe, and get even better for my family and friends.
9) LISTEN TO MORE MUSIC
hint: NEW ALBUM THOUGHTS COMING OUT SOON! |
We've got tons of new releases happening this summer, and I'm really, really excited for that!
10) TO ACTUALLY POST STUFF ON MY SOUNDCLOUD
agh, i'll mess around with it soon. |
I like to sing. I just don't really put it out that much. Haha! I'll have to fix that, though.
11) FINISH DEATH NOTE
LIGHT YAGAMI IS CUTE AAAAAAAAAAAA~ |
Because I really want to, and I need to find time for it!
12) REACH 50 BLOG POSTS BY THE END OF SUMMER
ikr |
I told you I want to keep myself productive.
Well, it's not impossible. I mean, we've had WORSE requirements for our Journalism subject before. Besides, if I want to exterminate procrastination, I have to raise the bar higher. I have to do more.
So, basically, I gave myself 11 reachable challenges. Am I game for that?
Yes, of course. What is life without a good challenge?
