CAPIZTAHAN 2017!!!!! + procrastinating agaaaain??!?!??!?!?
DUNDUDUDUDUDUDUDDUDUUUUUUUUN
I'd
love for this to be O Carmina Burana, but alas, this ain't an orchestra. I
struggled in Music class (suprisingly for a music lover), and I only play the
guitar.
Anyways, here's the gist: It's time for this week's procrastination update! Also, a peek at a little event my cousin, sister, and I went to. Let's get started!
What's the status, exactly? STILL PROCRASTINATING.
I mean, I set the post requirements for every week. Lo and behold, I just refuse to move HAHA.
Punishment? Well, not exactly. I'm deactivating for a few hours until I get all my work done, and believe me, I n e e d to get my work done. Why?
THERE'S AN RP IN A FEW HOURS. I AM SHOOOOOKT.
Anyway, let's get to the highlight of today's post:
It was April 22, 2017; a lazy Saturday afternoon. Originally, I was planning to draw the whole day. Imagine my surprise when my aunt went into my room to tell me to get dressed to see the festival. I then asked her what was the hurry all about, then she announced that she has four tickets to the Kapamilya Caravan later in the night; where Maja Salvador was going to perform.
My sister and cousin, ecstatic at the chance to see another celebrity, hurried to prepare. I've seen Maja Salvador in a lot of TV shows, and she is really good at dancing. And she's really pretty, too. I decided it would be a good opportunity for blog content, so I tagged along.
Along the way, I decided to sketch up a little bit of a fanwork, since I needed a bit of practice anyway. Besides, I have a sort of "need to be spectacular", I wasn't going to pass up the opportunity for my art to get seen. Another bonus would be, if I got reaaaaally lucky, I could get it signed.

Of course, I wasn't really expecting that. After all, those sorts of occurences are pretty rare. Still, it was a chance.
After a not-so-short ride, owing to the roads being blocked and us having to talk our way through the traffic officers, we were able to stop by my grandmother's law firm, where we watched a little bit of the festival through the window.
We then went down after a short while. We could have stayed a bit longer to watch, but we wanted the front seats. When we stepped out, though, I was then able to take somewhat better quality photos of the festival. The crowd was really tight!
Finally, we reached Villareal Stadium, where the Kapamilya Caravan was being held, and presented our VIP paper-bracelets.
As we hoped, no one arrived at the VIP section yet, so we were able to snag the front seats. A group of dancers were already practicing at the venue.
As for me, I took the time to finish my fanwork.

I was only given a little time to complete the drawing, but I was really satisfied with the results, considering it was rushed!
Not long after, people started to fill the stadium. We got a bit bored of waiting, and took a lot of selfies; most were deleted, but I saved some.
Despite the number of selfies we took, we still waited quite a few more minutes for the show to start.
My cousin's best friends, as it turned out, also went to watch. Shoutout to Dani and Iya!
As it turned out, it was going to be a longer game of waiting that we thought. There were front acts! Street Kings; which was a dance group (which I was quite impressed with, actually); a male singer (whose name I forgot); who sang "Lay Me Down" by Sam Smith, and Mabel Villan (whose name I remembered because she had quite the similar name as my friend. Shoutout to Maybelyn Villano!); who sang "How Far I'll Go" from the Disney movie, Moana.
And finally, the moment we've all been waiting for: Maja Salvador finally came to put smiles on our faces!

After about thirty minutes, the program came to an end. She left early, so we weren't able to meet and greet. It was truly a memorable experience for me. It was so fun, and she seemed so nice! At one point, she ran away from her bodyguards to greet her fans better. I wasn't able to take a video of that moment, though.
Speaking of the drawing, I didn't get a chance to have it signed or give it to her, but sHE SAW IT SHE SAW IT SHE SAW ITTTTTTT AND SHE WAS AMAZED AND MY COUSIN EVEN HEARD HER THROUGH THE LIP SYNC IN THE STADIUM SPEAKERS SHE SAID "WOW"
"WOW"
I AM SHOOKT GUYS I REALLY AMMMMMM!
After the Kapamilya Caravan, we went back to the car to watch the electric parade since nobody really felt like standing up. I wasn't able to take any photos or videos since my camera's battery drained, but here's a glimpse of what happened in the electric parade. Photo credits to Ricky Dimayuga from Panay Lakbay!
Well, that's about it! We'll be going back to Iloilo in a few days, and I am soooo excited to see my friends again. Till next time!
