aesthetics: frolicking at night; 9/16/16

Today's aesthetic would be, well, frolicking in the dark.

I was not supposed to be at school that late at night, but my mom didn't come to pick us up from school until 18:30 PM.

My sister and I were told to stay in the information area (a place where students in my school usually stayed to wait for their parents or chauffeurs to pick them up; although there is a designated place where we are supposed to wait, we choose to stay at the information area anyway because it is literally in front of the main school building), but we were feeling adventurous at the moment and we felt like it would be a pretty good photo op.

We weren't wrong.

Especially with a red uniform and tropical skintone like ours, the warmer colors contrasted well with the cool, dark shades of night.

After shooting some pictures, my sister and I sat down on swings. She was using her phone, and I; on the other hand, watched the clouds on the night sky as it slowly passed and soon covered and blurred the image of the moon.

Afterwards, Mom called to tell us that she'd be picking us up in five minutes, and we'd better be at the information area by then.

(I mean, where else?)

The night is truly, hauntingly beautiful. It makes one person sit down and think, while the lights in the sidewalk glow above their head. Most people are vulnerable at night; darkness inspires many to breathe and contemplate life; a somber yet peaceful look on their faces.

(this is not an excuse to not be vigilant at night.)
